Soaking up the sunshine

For a little over a week I have not posted anything, I apologize! I would be balsting rainbows out a unicorns butt, but I decided this was far more important then such things. The past week at school has been important due to me having to accomplish my senior project. Senior project is this thing that the King Kekaulike students have to do in order to graduate. So I am doing it somewhat late because I got here later then the rest. Other then that I have worked with Chef Dion in his kitchen at a place that we call a hotel because if we did not it would take forever to explain! It is this place where they take people from all over third world countries (mostly third world I believe) and they come for about 6 weeks and learn how to be a missionary and then get sent back out. Either way I had a very good time with Chef Dion and all of his employees! I got paid well, ate well, and learned a lot! I also this past few weeks got to go see Alice in Wonderland! I would pay to go see the movie again because it was so well put together in 3-D. The story line has been said to not be the best, however I enjoyed it! I got to go with Shelbie and her step mom, which was also fun!
Yesterday was also fun! Tiana, Steven, and I went to enjoy the beach and had a lovely time doing so! I am going to go again today, making this blog somewhat short! I promise to fill you in on this weeks events because it is spring brake! It should be a lovely time! Goodbye until then=]

TSUNAMI!

hello sunshine!
Today has been a very interesting day! I woke up this morning to find that there was a Tsunami headed for the island that I live on. Thank goodness I live about 3000 Ft up on the side of a volcano! So you really do not have to worry about me! =] Yesterday when school let out I headed straight for the beach! It was a nice day out and my friends and I deemed it a really good idea to do! Then after some of my friends and I had a sleep over! It was very funny we just hung outside, mostly on the hammock, and talked about everything. It was a fun just kick back sort of day! So this morning I woke up hung out for a while and eventually went home. Mark left for Oahu today to go and get the two great danes! I am sooooooooooooooo EXCITED that they are going to be here! They will be my two beach buddies! It's going to be very fun having them around! So I stayed here, cleaned the house, and now I am going to work on some english! I thought that I should give the update that they are coming home and that I am all safe!

enjoying the sunshine! Ooo

I woke up this morning to no alarm clock ringing
The birds were also not singing
It was too early for even them to be awake
But I had to roll out of bed for school's sake
So once I was ready I left in my 1999 Cadillac Diville
And headed down the large Hill
I rolled in to school singing Chris Ledoux to remind me of home
But as I stepped out the school campus was where I would roam
It is set so that to get to each class you have to walk in the Hawaii air
Sometimes it can be too cold or wet to bare
Today it was just overcast and the sun did not want to peak into site
I continued to all my classes and today they were only all right
Computer skills, English and Hawaiian study were what I had to bare
And to you they are easy and it is just not fair
That I am here learning about these topics
And also getting to enjoy the sun of the Hawaiian Tropics
After I was done
We headed to find the sun
But even at the beach it did not peak out
But that did not make us pout
Cause we still played in the water and had our fun
collecting sea weed and enjoying little people with little sun
So eventually our time ran out and we had to leave
And thank goodness our goal was achieved!
So I came home from my semi eventful day
Then Steven called me because he had a lot to say
So I have dedicated this post to him
On the last lines for a stupid whim
=]]
Hope you enjoyed my poetic day
Becasue I have nothing else to say!

Just another day

So today I stayed home sick from school, which is one of my least favorite things to do! The reason being you have all day to do the things you need to, but you do not get them done for the fact that you do not feel good enough to do them. Then you become bored out of your mind watching whatever is on tv at the time! In any case this week has been rather uneventful accept for the fact that on Sunday I went horse back riding on the rice ranch! The rice ranch is one of the biggest ranches on the island! and it was really special that I got to go thanks to Mark's friends Rosemary and Chris! They have been such a blessing for the fact they help me to do those things!=] I think that the beach tomorrow will do me some good! It's a nice place to sit relax and think about life! Thanks to Tiana I am going! We will be collecting 5 kinds of seaweed (yes there is more then one kind!) and then kickin it! since we get out at 1:15 P.M. tomorrow it will be amazing!=]

Dinner at Dion's

HELLO EVERYONE!
If you are reading this chances are you know who I am, your someone who stumbled across this blog, OR you are a creeper that happens to be stalking me. In any case you are welcome to read what happens in my day to day life, unless of course you are the creeper... Then just please click the X in the left hand corner and do not return to this website again!

I would start from the beginning (<-- commonly misspelled word... I took a spelling test on it today! HAHA) BUT I have already been on this Island for about a month. I am even starting to learn how to make it to school, the grocery stores, and even the beaches!=] (are you not proud mom.. and dad!?) It would not be the same for me to start from the beginning, so I will start from what happened today, if that's okay?

I woke up this morning around 6:20 A.M. to the sound of the awful alarm on my cell phone showered, got dressed, ate breakfast, and then followed Mark to Kalama. Kalama is the school that he teaches at and if you are wondering why the heck that I was there, well you see, we do not have our printer hooked up to the computer and my English homework was required to be typed and printed, so i drove there to print it on his printer! Then i back tracked to MY school where I went as through a normal day!

A normal day at King K includes going to your first class, recess, next class, lunch (also today there were two fights that broke out..which is very normal here!), last class and then your free! Well today I was invited to hang out with three of my friends after school. Tiana, Kailynn, and Dorian (Kailynn's brother came too BUT I do not know his name!) and we all headed to McDonalds. McDonalds is a rather popular place after school here, making it hard to park a Cadillac, but I managed to do so anyway.Once inside the smell overwhelmed me and there was no way I would leave with out a McChicken and some fries. So we ordered, sat down, ate our food, and then decided that we were still hungry. SO... I ordered a super delicious fudge sunday AND a banana pie. I am not sure if they have banana pies back in Montana but they are darn good!!=]]

So after all that we all headed towards Kailynn's house! There we just messed around and I mostly laid on her super comfy bed!:] By 2:45 P.M. it was time to head home because I was taking Dori and Tiana home! We left and when I got back I came home to find Mark napping and the house quiet. I knew that tonight we would be going over to one of Mark's good friend's house to visit because they had not seen each other in a few years. The man was Chef Dion.

Now I obviously had not met him before this evening, but I had heard very much about him! Mark and Aunt Rachel would talk about how he was an amazing cook and that he had a few kids and so on. Well we had ran into his daughter summer who is visiting until tomorrow and she set the whole thing up! She had not seen Mark in a few years and wanted to catch up; also Mark needed to catch up with Dion. So the plans were set and we headed over.

As we pulled up to his house we were not entirely sure that it was the correct house, but we were relieved to find Dion outside watering his plants when we got there. The night started off slow with small conversations of where they were in life and where Mark was, but it progressed into recalling old memories that they cherished. About half way through Dion made a most amazing dinner. It consisted of Pizza made with homemade dough, deer meat, and Buffalo cheese. Also, he made a salad with homemade smoked salmon that was absolutely amazing! I had never tasted anything so wonderful until they gave me dessert! They had a piece of cake that was some old family recipe and pecan caramel pie that was to die for! So we finished the night talking about everything from how life was now, to deep fried pie stands!

Tomorrow it has been decided that I will skip school and take Summer, Chef Dion's daughter who is in her mid twenties, to the beach and then the airport. No one else could take her and I surely would not pass on a beach day! So tomorrow I will try and come with more stories to tell y'all back home! =]] As for now I am going to put on some PJ's and lay in bed=]]
